Spicing Up Your Free Exercise Routines
One of the main reasons why people fail in their free exercise routines
is that it just gets too boring.
Nobody wants to stick with anything
that isn’t any fun. Here are some tips for spicing up your total
body exercise routines, to keep it interesting and you motivated.
Set yourself daily goals. Did you do ten push-ups yesterday?
Try for eleven today. Try to find something to aim for every day.
Use music. Find some music you love and play it as you
exercise. To vary your exercise routine, try different music on
different days. You might even like to listen to music that you
don’t normally listen to.
Vary the exercises. Change the stretching exercises you
are doing or change your cardiovascular exercise. Instead of jogging,
try jumping on a trampoline and doing some rebounding exercise routines.
You can also vary the order in which you do your exercise.
Borrow a friend’s exercise equipment. If your friend
has an exercise bike and you have a treadmill, see if you can swap
for a couple of weeks.
Invite someone along. Ask a friend, or a partner or even
your children to join you in some exercises. They might even have
some great suggestions for exercises you had not even thought of.
Reward yourself. Pick special rewards for when you meet
certain goals, but also pick mini rewards for after each exercise
routine. Think about special fruit juices, a nice bath or reading
a good book as possible options.

Consulting Your Physician
Before starting any exercise routine, you will need to consult your
physician if you:
Are over 50;
Have not exercised for a while;
Are pregnant;
Suffer from a serious medical condition;
Suffer from heart problems;
Are obese;
Are a heavy smoker;
Have lung problems.
Your doctor will be able to give you a thorough health check. He
will then help you find the right exercise routines for you. It
is much better to get the doctor’s advice than the follow
someone else’s exercise routine. For example, exercise routines
for seniors will vary depending on their overall condition and whether
they have any health problems. An exercise routine for one senior
may not be appropriate for another senior.
Even if your doctor suggests that it is not appropriate for you
to follow a normal exercise routine, he will be able to help you
find a daily exercise workout that is appropriate. Even people with
serious health problems can do some types of free workout routines.
The important thing is to find the routine that works best for you.
